Professor Shulan Tang
Prof. Shulan Tang studied at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine from 1979 to 1984, where she gained a bachelor’s degree in Medicine. She then went on to study at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine from 1984 to 1987 and gained a master’s degree in Medicine. She worked at South-East University hospital from 1988 to 1991 as Physician in Charge.

Shulan came to Manchester UK in 1991. Since then she has been practising and teaching Chinese Medicine in Manchester, the UK and across Europe . She has a great success rate in treating gynaecological issues, dermatological problems and a range of difficult and complicated diseases. She has great experience in teaching Science of Chinese Materia, Science of Prescriptions, TCM gynaecology, dermatology, Internal Medicine and other fields. Shulan treats patients from her heart, and teaches students with passion. She is a well respected doctor and professor.

Currently, Shulan is the principal of Shulan College of Chinese Medicine, a PhD supervisor at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, a Senior Practitioner of the British Acupuncture Council and the Register of Chinese herbal medicine. She has published over 40 academic articles, and is the Chief Editor of the Chinese Herbal Patent Book, and Vice Chief Editor of the core, international text book of TCM Gynecology.

Professor Shiwei Zhou
Professor Shiwei Zhou graduated from the prestigious Tianjin University of Chinese Medicine in China with a Distinction after 8 years of training. He attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Acupuncture after attending from 1980-1985. He continued his studies with world renowned Acupuncture master Xue Ming Shi and gained a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Tuina. His first medical placement was as a Chinese Medicine Practitioner in the Tianjin University TCM Hospital before relocating to the UK in 2001 where he specialises in treating muscular pain and strokes. As well as running his own professional clinic, Professor Zhou is currently the Diploma Course Leader at Shulan College of TCM and lectures on Acupuncture and Tuina and supervises student clinics at the Shulan College.
